We would like to welcome you to our historic lake-front family cabin. This has been our family's favorite getaway for over 40 years and we would love to share that experience with you. As one of the first cabins ever built on lake Almanor, it was originally constructed as vacation property for the famous Red River Lumber Co. in the 1920's. When our family purchased the property in 1972 it was expanded notably while retaining a majority of the original architecture. The main level has the living room, kitchen and bathroom. Each wall is adorned with windows as well as a sliding glass door to the deck giving you a transparent view of the lake from the comfort of the living room. The upstairs has a large master bedroom and bathroom with separate bathtub and shower as well as lake facing window with an exquisite view. The lower level is accessed by a separate entrance, downstairs from the deck on the main level. It has two bedrooms, one queen and one double bed as well as a shared bathroom with shower. Beds - 1 king and 1 twin daybed with trundle underneath (upstairs), 1 queen and 1 double (lower level), 1 double sleeper sofa (main level) Please feel free to call with any questions, I would be happy to fill you in on any specific details! COVID-19 Update: Due to Plumas County recommendations and with everyone's safety in mind we have temporarily changed a few things this season below. The cabin is located on Big Springs Road on the East side of the lake, which enjoys consistent afternoon breezes which means less bugs in the evening, crystal clear lake waters, and a "banana-belt" effect resulting in temperate weather throughout the year.   The cabin has walking access to a private cove perfect for swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and relaxing on the beach.  The cabin also has access to a private boat launch less than a mile away, as well as restaurants, grocery shopping, and boat rentals near by. This cabin is in the Almanor Lakeside Resorts along with 12 other cabins. This particular cabin is overlooking the lake with a beautiful view from a large deck. It has 2 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen.. Everything inside has been newly remodeled. It can comfortably accommodate 6 people. There is a private boat ramp with a large dock and individual boat slip as well as boat/jet ski trailer parking. There is a picnic area near the water as well as large grass picnic areas. It is located next to the marina outside of the country club. We are right across the street from restaurants and gourmet grocery store with wine shop and deli.
